Are you looking for a challenging Technical Writing opportunity?

Our client is looking for an experienced technical/programming writer with a solid object-oriented programming background and 3 or more years experience writing SDKs, CDKs and similar types of documentation for software developer audiences. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Web service programming, including Web service APIs, WSDL, and SOAP. The writer will write Web service API references and possibly programmer guides.

This is a 3-6 months contract opportunity at Mountain View, CA.

Job requirements: The candidate must have:

A minimum of 3 or more years of experience writing formal technical documentation, such as SDKs, for software developer audiences.

Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, in C#, Java, or C++.

Solid familiarity with Web-related technologies: HTML, CSS, XML.

General familiarity with networks, preferably Windows networks.

Solid knowledge of technical writing style, practices, processes, and tools.

The ideal candidate would also have:

Understanding of Web service programming.

The ability to write short code examples.

Experience with the Visual Studio development environment.

The manager is willing to make an exception on Programming exp if they have good initiative, go getter types. They have seen a lot of tech writers who are not too keen to learn new things, they need an involved person.
